Dr Redrado and the receptionists were extremely helpful when I asked for an emergency ECG for my son. I was only given 2 days notice by Great Ormond street hospital to get an ECG before my sons appointment and even though we couldn't do it at the surgery, Dr Redrado called around all the local hospitals and health centres until she found us an emergency appointment and by that afternoon the surgery had sent the results to Great Ormond street hospital . Dr Redrado is Amazing and So are the receptionists.
This surgery looks a little run-down and you usually have to wait a couple of weeks to get early morning/late afternoon appointments. One of the doctors, Dr Miriam Onyeador, is very unprofessional and brings the overall quality of the surgery into question. There are also issues with timekeeping - a 20+ minute wait is to be expected.
I can't belive that they cannot collect my blood sample, and send it to local laboratory to centrifuge it, and then send it to Charing Cross tumour marker hCG. I show all the information that Charing Cross set me showing step by step what to do but the reception and the doctor just doen't know what to do, they ask to go look for another place to do it???!!! How can they do it???
The surgery is oversubscribed and the waiting time to be seen is far too long. I have often waited 2 weeks for an appointment and then sat waiting for an hour to be seen and have had to leave to collect my son from nursery. To be fair, the doctors are great when you finally get to see them, but they must work on their waiting times.
I see Dr Redrado and she is always meeting me with a genuine smile, she listens sympathetically and the health plan she suggested to investigate my health concerns worked very well for me.
Also the reception staff is very friendly.
It used to be a long waiting time before the appointment 2-3 weeks, but last appointment was within of 10 days of my phone call.
Happy.
